Delivery Details

Our aim is to provide an efficient and reliable service, and so as to meet our customer’s expectations, we will always endeavour to despatch your order as soon as possible.  However, please remember that our designs are handcrafted, and often custom made, therefore your item may not be in stock at the time of order.  We will, of course, keep in contact with you to let you know when we have despatched the order, so that you can anticipate the arrival of your purchase.

If you require your item by a specified date, you can e-mail us before placing your order to check the availability of the stock item. Please email us with the style information and date by which you require your item.

Delivery options

MeKé dispatches our handcrafted jewellery throughout Australia every day, and we are of course happy to deliver to overseas destinations.  MeKé utilises the services of Australia Post for this important part of our business.  Australia Post deliver to any location in Australia, whether it be a capital city or a remote or rural town.

All parcels will be delivered as registered items and as such will only be delivered  to the address provided, as a signature on receipt is required.  It is recommended to provide a work address for delivery if you are not going to be home during business hours as due to security issues, the parcel cannot be left unattended. Where no one is home (and the parcel is too large for your letterbox), a card will be left advising you of the nearest Australia Post outlet where the parcel can be collected.

When you proceed through the ordering process, you will be presented with the relevant delivery options based on the destination you have chosen in your delivery address.

We don’t believe in charging you any more than is necessary so Postage is calculated at cost, there is no margin added

General Postage Information
The delivery time frames provided represent the approximate delivery time,  from when your order is despatched from MeKé,  to when you receive it. We do not guarantee that all orders will be received by you within the above times frames from the moment you place an order.

Postage within Australia - Regular (postage includes Registered Post fee)

Regular

Registered Post
All our regular  articles within Australia are posted as registered items.  This provides added security for your purchase, with a unique identification number given to each article.  We also receive proof of posting when lodged at an Australia Post outlet, and a signature must be obtained on delivery. By sending our articles as registered items, they are also insured for up to $100.

The charge for Registered Post is $2.60

Additional Postage Security
Should you wish, an additional charge of $5.20 can be paid if you want to personally sign for  the registered post item when received.  Under this service, no other person, other than the addressee may sign for the article.  Please select this additional service when ordering.

Additional Insurance
Additional Insurance can be provided on request.  Simply select this option when ordering your items.  Charges for additional insurance are $1.10 per $100, or part thereof, in excess of $100 and up to $5,000.  Please note that insurance is automatically included in the registered post component, for orders up to $100.

Express Post is an economical and reliable next business day delivery service.  Not all postcodes fall within the Express Post Network for next business day delivery, so it is important to refer to the estimated times for delivery.

International Airmail

Australia Post Air Mail is the standard service used to send parcels worldwide and can be relied on to deliver your purchase to virtually any address in the world, generally within 3-10 working days from date of despatch.  Airmail offers a less expensive postage option, if time is not critical.

International – Express Courier International
Express Courier International provides a cost effective, international courier service.

It offers reliable door-to-door delivery of documents and goods to over 190 countries and territories within 2 to 4 business days between metropolitan areas of major cities. The service also offers online tracking to most destinations.
