Running out of time to arrange an activity for your child’s party? Tired of those lame old party games?
Why not hold a MeKé jewellery making party?!
We supply all the materials and show your child and their friends how to make beautiful jewellery pieces that they get to keep.
But, best of all, we look after the kids for a while, so you can have a break! Although, it’s so much fun most Mums want to join in!
Kids absolutely love our parties, we have parents tell us how excited their child and their friends were beforehand, and how it was all they heard about for weeks afterwards. We are relaxed in our approach and keep our format flexible, we simply provide some beautiful beads, the tools and basic instructions and let their creativity flow! They can make one item or many, and can choose from necklaces, bracelets or earrings- we leave it up to them to decide. You won’t believe how excited they get when they first uncover our beautiful selection of bright and colourful beads, and how much fun they have selecting which ones to use and designing their own style. We are continually amazed by some of the designs they come up with and how much they get out of having their creativity encouraged. They also adore wearing their new creations afterwards, and we even had one Mum tell us that she had a hard time convincing the girls at her daughter’s slumber party to take their jewellery off at bedtime!
Another really fun idea that one Mum arranged, was to combine the jewellery making into a themed ‘Glamour’ party. After they had made their jewellery, she organised a fashion parade, provided some glamorous dress up clothes, set up a makeshift runway, and took some paparazzi style photos as the girls struck poses. The girls loved it, and they ended up with some great pics.

Currently our parties are only available in the South-East Queensland region, and are most suited to children over the age of 5.

My daughter had a Meke jewellery-making party for her 11th birthday and everyone had a fabulous time. The children thoroughly enjoyed creating their pieces of unique jewellery and could not believe the variety of beads that they could choose from. The Meke ladies were extremely well organised and related well to the children, keeping them entertained for several hours. My other daughter now wants a Meke party for her birthday.
