Pricing
Prices are listed in Australian dollars (AU) . We do not charge GST.
For international customers, the amount owing will be calculated in your own currency once you place your order and proceed through the checkout.
Payment methods
There are many payment methods that can be used to place your order with Meké.
You can provide your payment information by your preferred method from these options:
Direct Deposit (Electronic Transfer using Internet Banking) - [for Australian customers]
If you are placing your order from Australia (or you have an Australian bank account) you can make a direct deposit payment for your order. You can use your internet banking facility to do a direct deposit to our bank account. If you would like to use this payment method for your order choose the Direct Deposit payment method in the payment method section of the order form when you are going through the checkout process. After you complete the order you will be given our bank account details that you can then use to perform the direct deposit
  We are able to accept payment using PayPal,. To place your order using PayPal, you should choose the PayPal payment method in the payment method section of the order form when you are going through the checkout process.
Payment by Cheque or money order
We are able to accept Australian payments by Australian money order or Australian bank cheques.
Please send us an e-mail and ask to receive instructions for making Australian money order or Australian bank cheque payments.
Charging of Credit Cards
The purchase and shipping costs will be charged for in Australian dollars.
When an international order is placed, the relevant currency conversion will be performed as at the time of debiting of your credit card by your credit card issuing bank. Your credit card issuing bank performs the currency conversion based on their own currency conversion rate. Meké take no responsibility for the timing or currency conversion rate used by the credit card issuing bank.
We may manually check every credit card order with the credit card issuing bank to ensure that all details given are accurate. Meké reserve the right to refuse to accept any orders that it considers to be suspicious.
For some countries orders we may require that proof of ownership of a credit card be supplied to us. For those orders, we may require that the purchaser fax to us a photocopy of their credit card and driver's licence for proof of identity and ownership of the credit card. We may also request that a purchaser supply their security credit card number. This will only be required if expressly requested by us.
What happens when you order
We will send you an e-mail confirming your order within 24 hours of placement of the order.
When you receive your order will depend upon:
- Your credit card issuing bank approving your purchase, receipt of direct deposit or receipt of cheque or money order;
- Whether we have your product in stock (and in your size); and
- All credit cards must be approved before shipment - we will contact you if there are any problems.
If your order is approved and we have your product in stock we will despatch the product to you within a few days using your chosen delivery method.
If we do not have your product in stock (and in your size) we will create it for you and e-mail you to let you know when we despatch it.
If you would like your product by a specified date please include that date in the “comments” section of the order form. (eg. wedding date or birthday date). If you require your order by a specified date we suggest you place your order as early as possible to ensure that you allow for any creation time that may be needed.
Gifts and Gift Vouchers
Wish to purchase an item of jewellery or an accessory for a friend or member of your family, but don’t feel confident choosing the design or colour? Meké also provides our customers with the opportunity to purchase gift vouchers to make the giving of gifts simple. An option for gift vouchers is available through the Ordering process. Vouchers are valid for 12 months and may be used to purchase any item found on the Meké website.
Alternatively, if you wish to purchase an item and have it sent directly to the recipient of the gift, then allow Meké to look after that for you too. A range of gift cards may be selected at time of order and a simple message can be added for insertion into the card.
Import Duties
This information is only relevant for deliveries made outside Australia,.
Please note that for all international orders (orders delivered outside Australia, you may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied by the recipient country's government once the product reaches your country.
There should be no customs duties for products imported to the United States due to the Australian/US Free Trade Agreement (FTA) that came into effect on January 1, 2005.
For all international orders except for the United States, all additional charges for customs clearance, import duties and taxes are payable by you. Such charges are not included in the delivery fee or purchase price of our products. We have no control over those charges and cannot determine what they may be.
Customs duties are not always applied. Each country has its own rules for determining whether customs duties will apply. Some countries only charge customs duties if the parcel has a value over a certain amount. Based on your country's customs rules, it is possible that your parcel will fall below that threshold level. |
